Structural & Mechanical Design Engineer – Prefab Data Centers

About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking a Structural & Mechanical Design Engineer to support the Prefabricated Data Center line of business. You will develop design proposals, specifications, and production drawings for modular data center solutions, ensuring feasibility, cost efficiency, and compliance with customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in tender phases by gathering owner requirements, interpreting local codes, and preparing design documents for cost estimation.
• Create and revise structural and mechanical designs using Revit, Autodesk Robot, Tekla and CREO.
• Validate designs from third‑party integrators and vendors against project specifications.
• Support factory engineering and commissioning activities, including design reviews for ISO and non‑ISO structures.
• Facilitate meetings with customers and sub‑consultants to align solutions with expectations.

Required profile

• Strong background in structural and mechanical engineering for modular constructions.
• Experience with design software such as Revit, Autodesk Robot, Tekla and CREO.
• Ability to interpret local building codes and standards.
• Proven judgment to plan and achieve engineering goals independently.
