System Architect with German

About the role

Volkswagen Group Services is looking for a System Architect with German language skills to join its Digital Hub in Spain. You will shape the architectural vision of cloud‑based solutions, work closely with business owners across brands, and help drive technical excellence in a fast‑moving, start‑up‑like environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the architecture vision at ART level and for cross‑cutting concerns.
• Steer architecture work at team level, translating stakeholder requirements into technical concepts.
• Own the system's cloud‑based infrastructure and ensure alignment with group‑wide technical platforms.
• Drive cost‑benefit assessments, validate decisions through POCs, and manage risk analysis.
• Break down technical requirements, lead technical reviews, and allocate capacity during PI Planning.
• Define and manage critical non‑functional requirements, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Support DevOps by defining architecture guidelines for the Continuous Delivery pipeline and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Proven experience in system architecture within large, complex software environments.
• Strong ability to collaborate with business owners, product managers, and Agile teams.
• Fluent German communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience working in SAFe/PI Planning contexts.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cloud‑based infrastructure design and operation.
• Experience applying SAFe and PI Planning in large‑scale Agile settings.
• Hands‑on knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
