Tax Manager – Corporate & International Tax

About the role

KPMG in the Caribbean is looking for a dynamic Tax Manager to lead high‑quality tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse client base across Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana and Barbados. You will work with senior partners and directors, guiding teams and delivering technical tax solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax compliance and advisory engagements for clients in financial services, energy, manufacturing, distribution and professional services.
• Oversee preparation and review of corporation tax returns, deferred tax calculations, withholding tax filings, VAT returns and other statutory filings.
• Prepare technical tax opinions, advisory memoranda and client correspondence for senior review.
• Provide advisory support on corporate taxation, international taxation, transfer pricing, tax structuring and regulatory compliance.
• Assist clients with regional expansion and operational setup, ensuring compliance with local tax requirements.
• Liaise with the Board of Inland Revenue and other tax authorities on audits, assessments and appeals.
• Support audit teams with review of tax provisions, deferred tax, uncertain tax positions and IFRS disclosures.
• Conduct technical research on local, regional and international tax matters and monitor legislative changes.

Required profile

• Qualified tax professional with strong technical expertise in domestic and international tax.
• Proven experience supervising and developing junior team members.
• Excellent client relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage engagement budgets, billing and profitability.
