Tax Manager (f/m/d)

About the role

The Tax Manager will ensure full compliance with tax regulations across the group while driving effective tax planning and optimisation. Acting as a trusted partner to subsidiaries, advisors and senior leadership, the role provides accurate reporting, guidance and proactive solutions to protect the company’s integrity and support business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and on time, coordinating with external tax advisors where needed.
• Perform tax reconciliations and calculate deferred tax balances.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies in collaboration with finance and business units.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and update compliance processes accordingly.
• Implement and maintain tax compliance tools and oversee ongoing monitoring.
• Research tax laws in new jurisdictions and advise on tax‑efficient structures.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (finance, legal, sales, executive leadership) on tax‑related matters.
• Serve as the primary contact for subsidiaries on tax projects and for auditors and tax advisors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, tax or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tax Specialist, preferably with German tax regulations.
• In‑depth knowledge of German tax laws (VAT, corporate and individual income tax) and familiarity with HGB accounting.
• Experience in tax planning and advisory services.
• Strong analytical abilities and proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
