Tax Manager – Renewable Energy

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead our tax function within a leading renewable‑energy generation group. The role combines strategic tax planning, compliance, and advisory responsibilities across a portfolio of energy projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage external tax advisors and coordinate with finance and other business units.
• Review and approve tax‑related accounting entries.
• Support mergers & acquisitions through tax due‑diligence and structuring.
• Oversee tax claims, simplification initiatives, and audit processes.
• Ensure timely filing, submission, and payment of all periodic tax returns (WHT, VAT, electricity taxation, CIT, etc.) and maintain communication with tax authorities.
• Monitor and review local tax obligations and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of tax experience, including 3‑5 years in a senior tax‑department role, preferably in the energy sector.
• Background in external tax advisory services and transaction tax work.
• Proven experience handling tax inspections, CIT and VAT compliance, and tax group structures.
• Strong accounting knowledge; international tax knowledge is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
