Tax Specialist

About the role

Opdenrgy, a fast‑growing renewable energy company, is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its Finance team in Spain. The role will support tax strategy, compliance and advisory functions across multiple business areas.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze tax implications of new projects, initiatives and strategic decisions.
• Coordinate and ensure timely tax compliance for the group.
• Assist the Finance Department with corporate income tax provisions and related accounting entries.
• Provide day‑to‑day tax advice to Finance, Legal, Construction, Engineering and other stakeholders.
• Manage communications with tax authorities, including audits and administrative proceedings.
• Collaborate with local tax advisors when external expertise is required.
• Support the preparation and review of Transfer Pricing documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Big 4, engineering or law firm.
• Strong knowledge of direct and indirect taxes and accounting principles.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
• Transfer Pricing knowledge.
