Tech Generalist (Software Engineer)

About the role

As a Tech Generalist, you’ll have real ownership across the stack—from building user‑facing systems and internal tools to developing reliable backend services, designing scalable infrastructure, and working with data to guide meaningful decisions. You’ll help define what we build, why we build it, and how it evolves over time. The role offers autonomy, pragmatic engineering, and visible impact from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end systems across frontend and backend, supporting both customer‑facing workflows and internal back‑office operations.
• Evolve architecture to improve scalability, reliability, and security while balancing speed with long‑term maintainability.
• Own core financial systems such as payment orchestration, ledger infrastructure, underwriting engines, reconciliation pipelines, and real‑time deal tracking.
• Integrate and automate third‑party financial APIs (e.g., Taktile, Modern Treasury, Kantox) for data ingestion, risk evaluation, and cash movement.
• Lead by example through thoughtful system design, high‑quality code reviews, and mentorship to build clean, well‑tested, maintainable systems.
• Design systems capable of handling increasing transaction volume and operational complexity with strong observability and reliability in a financial domain.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building production‑scale software, proficient in Typescript and Node.js, and able to choose the right tool for the problem.
• Systems thinker who sees patterns across the stack and designs solutions that scale beyond a single use case.
• Pragmatic problem‑solver focused on business impact over technical novelty, balancing quality, speed, and simplicity.
• Courageous builder thriving in a remote‑first, distributed environment, handling ambiguity, taking ownership, and sweating the details when needed.
