Technical Leader – SAP BI / BW

About the role

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Technical Leader to join its Digital Campus in Albacete. You will drive the design and delivery of high‑performance data products that connect the core SAP BW environment with the Palantir Foundry big‑data ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical expert for the Airbus SAP BI platform, overseeing architecture, data models and functionality.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers and other teams on SAP BI usage for data ingestion, processing, storage, analysis and visualization.
• Design, architect and implement scalable, performant analytics solutions on SAP BI/BW aligned with the overall IT strategy.
• Lead integration of SAP BI with enterprise systems and ensure seamless data flow.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues and optimise the SAP BI environment for stability and reliability.
• Define and enforce coding standards, best practices and guidelines for SAP BI development.
• Mentor and share knowledge across the technical community within Airbus Helicopters.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with SAP BI and SAP BW platforms in an industrial or aerospace setting.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams in an Agile Release Train environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality, performance and scalability.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
