Technical Solutions Architect

About the role

Seqera is building the modern biotech stack and needs a Technical Solutions Architect to lead client implementations of the Seqera Platform across cloud, hybrid and on‑prem environments. You will work closely with scientists, bioinformaticians and client IT teams to translate requirements into secure, production‑ready deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical onboarding and deployment of the Seqera Platform in cloud, hybrid and on‑prem settings, from requirements gathering to a working solution.
• Design and stand up infrastructure including networking, DNS, TLS, private CAs, IAM, secrets, container runtimes and storage.
• Operate within client security and compliance constraints, guiding internal IT while respecting limited access scenarios.
• Build automation tools and pre‑flight checks to make deployments repeatable and safe for non‑experts.
• Partner with Sales and Scientific Development on pre‑sales, proof‑of‑concepts and solution design.
• Act as senior escalation point, turning recurring issues into lasting fixes.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in at least one public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP); multi‑cloud experience is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of networking, TLS, certificate management, IAM and access control, with ability to explain concepts to non‑technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code – Terraform required; experience with CloudFormation, Pulumi or Ansible is a bonus.
• Containerization skills: Docker and Kubernetes mandatory; Helm a strong advantage.
• Track record of building and shipping tools, comfortable with Python and Bash, and committed to testing and documentation.
• Understanding of workflow engines and HPC schedulers such as SLURM or Grid Engine.
