Technical Writer – Data Platform & Insights Services

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our Data Platform & Insights Services team on a strategic pharmaceutical diagnostics project. The role focuses on documenting AWS‑based medical data platforms that store blood‑sugar levels and various diagnostic test results, directly contributing to improved patient health.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with data engineers, product owners, and stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into clear documentation for diverse audiences.
• Review, reorganise, and maintain existing platform documentation in Confluence, ensuring usability and accessibility.
• Create version‑controlled templates that meet organisational quality standards.
• Define and manage workflows for requirement collection, prioritisation, and approval, maintaining traceability from customer needs to software specifications and test cases.
• Document release‑management processes, including versioning, deployment pipelines, rollback strategies, and post‑release monitoring.
• Develop post‑production support artefacts such as service runbooks, incident‑response SLAs, FAQs, and on‑call checklists.
• Align documentation with the modular Quality Management System (MQMS) to support regulatory compliance, using tools like Enzyme, DiaDoc, or Aspire.
• Leverage AI tools to automate generation of technical and QMS documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Writer in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts and communicate them effectively in written form.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and detail‑oriented skills.
