Test Engineer

About the role

Airbus CRISA is looking for a Test Engineer to join its technical team in the Madrid area. You will work on electronic flight equipment for a range of space programmes, contributing to the design, validation and delivery of high‑performance units.

Key responsibilities

• Define test procedures and develop associated test scripts.
• Automate and simplify validation processes for electronic units.
• Execute functional, environmental and EMC test campaigns.
• Perform qualification and acceptance testing to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Test Manager and engineering team to meet schedule, cost and quality targets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering or a scientific discipline.
• Minimum two years of experience in validation and verification of electronic units.
• Negotiation‑level proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication, reporting and teamwork skills.
• Independent, autonomous work style with a customer‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Validation and verification of electronic units.
• Automation scripting and digital design tools.
• Use of simulators for test development.
• Advanced test instrumentation for automated testing.
• Knowledge of space environment constraints and European space regulations (ESCC, SMD).
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
