Test Engineer – Railway Validation

About the role

Alstom is seeking a Test Engineer to support train‑level validation activities. You will develop test procedures, execute tests on trains and related equipment, and produce comprehensive test reports while ensuring the readiness of test instrumentation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute validation tasks assigned by the Train Validation Engineer (TVE).
• Consolidate and update the validation planning schedule.
• Define specifications for test tools and means (e.g., climatic chambers, acquisition devices).
• Procure, reserve, and manage tools and equipment across multiple projects.
• Write and run Train Type Test Procedures and generate corresponding test reports.
• Issue validation proofs for lower‑level systems and components in a timely manner.
• Provide structured feedback (REX) to support costing activities and enrich the technical repository.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the railway sector.
• Solid knowledge of railway systems engineering and field test execution.
• Experience with test instrumentation, acquisition devices, sensors, and data acquisition chains.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
