Transport Center Controller – Madrid

About the role

The Transport Center Controller will be based at the CTOC in the Madrid area and will ensure effective financial and operational control of transport activities across the cluster. You will support both short‑term performance and long‑term strategic decisions, working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for transport and trade operations.
• Manage accruals, invoice validation, settlements and emissions reporting.
• Support performance management, analyse results and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with regional transport, trade controlling, finance, commercial, procurement and sustainability teams to align processes.
• Drive cost‑effectiveness through process optimisation and data‑driven analytics.
• Monitor transport flows and inventory balances to ensure operational accuracy.
• Provide financial insights, performance analysis and business cases for negotiations and strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, accruals and invoice verification.
• Strong analytical ability to turn financial and operational data into actionable insights.
• Experience developing forecasting models and tools to support planning.
• Track record of monitoring and improving KPIs.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• Proactive problem‑solver with a hands‑on approach.
• Effective communicator comfortable in multicultural, dynamic environments.
