VAT Analyst

About the role

The VAT Analyst will ensure accurate preparation and filing of VAT returns while supporting broader tax compliance activities. Working closely with finance and tax teams, the role demands up‑to‑date knowledge of VAT legislation and strong analytical abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns with high accuracy.
• Reconcile VAT accounts and perform VAT closing activities.
• Produce timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including VAT declarations and tax audit documentation.
• Maintain current knowledge of VAT, ESL and Intrastat regulations in the assigned country.
• Participate in internal and external financial audits and support tax audits when required.
• Assist the tax organization with compliance processes for corporate income tax, withholding tax, plastic tax and other environmental taxes.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional experience in finance, accounting or audit.
• Strong analytical and judgment capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing environments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP R3.
