Accounting and Tax Advisor (Spain Specialist)

About the role

Join Xolo, a fast-growing fintech leader, as an Accounting and Tax Advisor dedicated to our Spanish market. You will play a pivotal role in empowering freelancers by ensuring their financial compliance and providing expert guidance in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.

Main missions

• Manage the end-to-end registration process for clients as freelancers with Spanish tax authorities and Social Security.
• Handle all tax filings, including quarterly and annual declarations, VAT (IVA), and Personal Income Tax (IRPF).
• Act as a subject matter expert to support our Customer Success and Product teams on complex accounting and tax inquiries.
• Provide high-level advisory services to clients regarding their specific tax obligations and optimization.
• Collaborate closely with the Spain local team and Product department to refine and automate internal accounting processes using Xolo's proprietary software.

Profile we are looking for

• Proven experience in accounting and tax compliance, specifically within the Spanish regulatory framework.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and translate them into actionable advice.
• A proactive mindset with a passion for fintech and process automation.
• Excellent communication skills to bridge the gap between technical tax requirements and client needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, international environment.
