Accounting Executive

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Executive to join our Global Finance Services team in Barcelona. Reporting to the Group Accounting Manager, you will support a company or group of companies on all financial matters, acting as the main liaison for Local Controllers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing processes in line with group accounting rules.
• Execute inter‑company reconciliations and ensure accurate balance‑sheet reporting.
• Prepare, verify and submit group financial reports and statutory filings.
• Lead audit activities with internal and external auditors.
• Oversee cash planning, monthly forecasting and variance analysis.
• Handle tax obligations, tax accounting and related reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cash‑budgeting for subsidiaries.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SAP.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Solid understanding of IFRS standards.
