Accounting & Financial Analyst – EMEA

About the role

The Accounting & Financial Analyst will join BNP Paribas’ Infinity Finance HUB in Madrid, supporting the EMEA Finance team. The role is responsible for measuring, controlling and explaining financial indicators across accounting, tax, regulatory, liquidity and credit‑risk reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Measure and book adjustments in accounting and management accounting for all reporting axes, including the segmented axis.
• Review and perform suspense provisioning and other legal and tax provisions.
• Oversee accounting controls performed by Back Offices, ensuring monthly and quarterly compliance.
• Control and analyse data for regulatory reporting (e.g., Matisse allocations, BMRC feeds, accounting‑to‑risk reconciliation, local regulatory reports).
• Provide finance supervision and Line‑of‑Defense‑1 control validation for back‑office operations.
• Support back‑ and middle‑office teams on accounting matters and coordinate responses to external auditors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure timely resolution of queries, escalating issues to the team leader or head as needed.
• Participate in upgrades and version releases of reporting tools and identify operational process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting, tax and regulatory reporting within a banking environment.
• Experience with liquidity, credit‑risk and management‑accounting concepts.
• Ability to work transversally with back‑office, middle‑office and audit teams.
• Detail‑oriented mindset for control oversight and data accuracy.
