Aerodynamics Engineer – International Mobility Opportunity

About the role

An opportunity for an Aerodynamics Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe (Madrid). The successful candidate will join the Aerodynamics Team in Getafe and start with an 18‑ to 24‑month secondment in the EF2000 Flight Joint Team in Manching, Germany, contributing to the EF2000 development before returning to Getafe to support the program and other aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Design external shapes of air vehicles and deliver aerodynamic models, performance data, handling qualities and load predictions in steady and unsteady regimes.
• Develop and maintain specialised numerical and experimental aerodynamic prediction tools throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary flight‑physics disciplines and external research communities to meet project aerodynamics and flight‑performance requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering (PhD is a plus).
• Willingness to undertake an international secondment and work in a multinational, multidisciplinary environment.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken); German is valued.
