AI Agentic Engineer

About the role

As an AI Agentic Engineer within Open Digital Services, you will design, build, and deploy intelligent AI systems that reshape how products are imagined, specified, built, tested, shipped, and continuously improved. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI agents, automation, and product development, supporting the full Product Development Lifecycle from idea to production.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a backlog of transformational product‑development ideas, prioritising them by impact on productivity and business value.
• Implement AI‑driven solutions using the Group’s platforms, balancing high‑confidence projects with experimental initiatives.
• Run experimental concepts with dedicated squads until success is demonstrated.
• Enable teams to create products, mobile apps, features, websites, APIs, automated tests, documentation, and deployment workflows with AI‑native, agentic support.

Required profile

• Strong background in software engineering and AI/ML technologies.
• Experience building or integrating AI agents that can reason, plan, and use tools.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally, manage experimental projects, and drive proactive risk management.
• Based in Madrid or willing to relocate.
