AI-Driven Scenario Generation Internship for Aerospace Simulation

About the role

Join Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe for a six‑month, part‑time internship (February‑July 2027) focused on AI‑driven scenario generation for aerospace simulation. You will work on a final‑year thesis project that designs and implements a proof‑of‑concept AI system to create, validate, and explore simulation scenarios from high‑level requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review state‑of‑the‑art AI approaches for scenario generation and simulation testing.
• Define a representative aerospace simulation use case and structured scenario model.
• Develop an AI‑assisted scenario generator and deterministic validation mechanism.
• Integrate the prototype with a suitable simulation backend and analyse simulation logs.
• Document architecture, findings, limitations and future research opportunities.

Required profile

• Student in the final year of a Computer Science, AI, Aerospace Engineering or related degree.
• Strong analytical mindset, curiosity about emerging AI techniques, and ability to work in multicultural teams.
• Minimum English level B2 (C1 preferred) and Spanish level B1.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• C++ programming.
• Experience or interest in generative AI, software development, simulation, automated testing, optimisation or data analysis.

What we offer

• 6‑month curricular practicum (25 h/week) with a dedicated tutor.
• Opportunity to complete your final‑year thesis (TFG) within Airbus.
• Exposure to real aerospace projects and a network in the aeronautical industry.
