AI Engineer (Quotient AI Specialist) – Madrid

About the role

Oliver Wyman, a global management consulting firm, is hiring an AI Engineer (m/f/d) for its Quotient AI team in Madrid. The role sits in WAVE, a newly created team focused on accelerating AI-enabled business development. As an AI Engineer you will turn briefs into working prototypes and production-ready solutions, with a focus on agent- and LLM-based work and traditional ML where appropriate.

Key responsibilities

• Build AI agent and LLM-based solutions that support business development and project execution
• Develop traditional ML and analytical models where they are the best fit
• Prototype delivery formats such as agents, avatars and visual formats that reduce dependence on slides and meetings
• Build with reuse and scale in mind, coordinating with Quotient Inside when a solution is ready to be productized
• Work with the Technical Business Partner to translate business needs into technical execution
• Collaborate with the Platform / Infrastructure Engineer to deploy solutions reliably and with the Front-end / AI Content Creator on client-facing outputs
• Join client discussions when technical credibility must be demonstrated

Required profile

• Strong hands-on technical skills and a pragmatic, ship-it mindset
• Fluent English; Spanish is welcome
• Comfortable making design decisions quickly and working across engineering and business conversations
• Preferred: interest in banking and financial services, open-source contributions, experience with agent frameworks or production AI workloads, and experience building reusable, scalable solutions

Required skills

• Fluency in Python and modern AI / ML tooling across the build lifecycle
• Hands-on experience shipping LLM-based or ML solutions, ideally under time pressure
• Data-science-leaning track: ML mathematics, statistics and linear algebra, modelling techniques
• Software-engineering-leaning track: testing, code hygiene and deployment
