AP BPO Specialist

About the role

This role supports the AP BPO Manager in overseeing accounts‑payable operations performed by an external Business Process Outsourcing provider. It ensures service quality, compliance, operational excellence, and the achievement of agreed SLAs and KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee AP operations executed by the BPO partner and act as QA for high‑risk processes.
• Monitor service delivery against contracted SLAs, KPIs, operational controls and compliance requirements.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, drive corrective actions and serve as escalation point for complex issues.
• Support internal and external audit activities and lead root‑cause analysis of recurring problems.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, OCR, workflow tools, e‑invoicing and RPA.
• Document and maintain SOPs, work instructions and governance standards.
• Coordinate testing, user‑acceptance and operational readiness for AP system upgrades and digitalisation projects.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for the BPO provider on new processes, controls and systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
• 3‑4 years of experience in AP operations, shared services or finance operations.
• Proven experience managing outsourced service providers or BPO relationships.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and quick learning capability.
• High level of English proficiency.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Experience with OCR, workflow tools and e‑invoicing solutions.
• Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) concepts.
• Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
