Batteries Assembly Line Team Leader

About the role

Airbus Crisa is expanding into space energy storage and has created a Battery Assembly Line (BAL) to design, integrate and manufacture high‑reliability lithium‑ion modules for space missions. As Team Leader you will supervise a shift of up to ten operators, ensuring safe, on‑time delivery while meeting strict Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery (SQCD) targets.

Key responsibilities

• Enforce absolute workplace safety, especially for high‑voltage and electrical‑risk handling, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Lead, motivate and coordinate the shift team, execute the daily production plan, balance workload and minimise downtime.
• Drive continuous‑improvement using Lean principles, 5S standards and cross‑functional collaboration to resolve technical bottlenecks.
• Operate and supervise automated assembly equipment, oversee high‑precision assembly, cleaning and coating processes, and ensure compliance with AS9100 quality standards.
• Manage module testing workflows (component, EGSE capacity and vibration testing) and guarantee end‑to‑end traceability through the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).

Required profile

• Technical Degree or higher vocational education in Electronics, Mechanics or Industrial Manufacturing (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience leading production shifts in high‑precision, regulated environments such as aerospace, automotive or electronics.
• Fluent Spanish (native) and English for technical documentation and global collaboration.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving under pressure and ability to work autonomously.

Required skills

• Electromechanical and electronic assembly expertise.
• Knowledge of high‑reliability quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
• Experience with MES and SAP tools for production tracking.
• Lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
• High‑voltage safety handling procedures.
