Bioinformatics Engineer - Services

About the role

As a Bioinformatics Engineer you will build pipelines to process cutting‑edge biological data and help clients deploy them using high‑performance batch computing, cloud storage, virtual private networks and modern identity systems.

Key responsibilities

• Create robust, reproducible scientific workflows with Nextflow and make them available to customers.
• Develop and deliver solutions that increase adoption of Seqera products.
• Design, deploy and maintain cloud data infrastructures for NGS, imaging analysis, machine learning and large‑scale datasets.
• Understand biological applications and scientific needs behind workflows.
• Communicate project updates, requirements, deliverables and provide documentation and training.
• Engage with customers to define requirements, develop deliverables and coordinate execution.
• Train customers on Seqera products and represent the customer voice internally.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the Nextflow language and nf‑core pipeline development.
• Proficiency in Groovy, Python and R programming.
• Experience with version‑control systems such as Git.
• Background in analysis pipelines for genomics, proteomics, metabolomics or related omics data.
• Familiarity with HPC environments and public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
• Customer‑oriented attitude and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
