Business Development Manager – Energy Storage

About the role

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to drive the growth of utility‑scale and commercial‑and‑industrial (C&I) battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the assigned overseas region. The role covers the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract closure, and involves building strategic partnerships with independent power producers, developers, EPCs and utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct in‑depth market research and analysis across utility‑scale, C&I and residential energy‑storage segments, identify trends and acquire new clients and partners.
• Generate leads through exhibitions, online channels and direct outreach; develop tailored technical solutions and commercial proposals.
• Lead contract negotiations, manage signing and execution, and ensure payment collection to meet sales and receivable targets.
• Coordinate with engineering, supply‑chain and project‑management teams to guarantee smooth project delivery and provide after‑sales support.
• Act as a brand ambassador at regional industry events to increase visibility and influence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in international trade, marketing, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum two years of overseas sales experience in the new‑energy sector (PV, energy storage, etc.).
• Proven customer resources or successful project cases in battery energy storage.
• Strong market‑analysis, negotiation and relationship‑management capabilities.
• Highly self‑motivated, goal‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent cross‑cultural communication skills and willingness to travel internationally.
