Business Lead Insurance

About the role

ING is looking for a Business Lead Insurance to join its Insurance Tribe in Madrid. The role owns both the current performance and the future growth of the core insurance business, including Home, Life and Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). It combines strategy, commercial development, partnership management, product innovation and execution, and reports directly to the Tribe Lead.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for ING's core insurance portfolio and set commercial targets (units sold, APE, GWP, profitability).
• Lead the evolution of existing products and design customer value propositions for new ones, including end-to-end product launches.
• Manage relationships with insurance partners, lead RfP processes, insurer selection and negotiations, and act as the senior representative of the products internally and externally.
• Drive growth through acquisition, conversion, retention and cross-sell/upsell, working with Marketing, Analytics and Customer Journey teams.
• Lead and develop a team of business strategy professionals.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of proven experience in insurance, covering both Life and Non-Life products.
• Experience managing insurance providers, partnerships, RfPs and leading high-performing teams.
• Fluent English.

• Strong knowledge of insurance products, distribution models and partnerships.
• Commercial and business development, stakeholder management and negotiation.
• Analytical and strategic thinking, and experience in agile, multidisciplinary environments.
