Business Operations Controller

About the role

We are looking for a Business Operations Controller to support our gaming studio in Barcelona. The role will ensure financial discipline, accurate reporting and effective budgeting for a leading AAA game development environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review the studio’s annual operating plan (AOP) and budget.
• Manage monthly intercompany charges and cost‑plus calculations.
• Review monthly financial internal reports and year‑end figures from HQ, comparing them to the AOP.
• Validate data entries and reporting in Oracle to ensure alignment with the AOP.
• Update and monitor monthly OPEX and CAPEX forecasts.
• Support and supervise studio purchasing processes.
• Prepare documentation for R&D incentives.
• Manage local cash flow in coordination with the Activision Treasury team.
• Assist Activision and Microsoft shared services (tax, treasury, finance, etc.).

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of audit experience, preferably with a Big Four firm.
• Strong knowledge of IAS/IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles.
• Advanced level of English and mandatory Spanish and Catalan language skills.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and improve.
