Casual Academic Tutor – Integrated First Year Business Courses

About the role

UNSW Business School is seeking enthusiastic casual academic staff to join the Integrated First Year (IFY) teaching team. You will deliver tutorials and workshops for the redesigned Bachelor of Commerce, supporting a curriculum that integrates contemporary business themes across disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver face-to-face, hybrid and online tutorials and workshops for IFY courses.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary discussions and guide students through business problem‑solving activities.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records.
• Collaborate with faculty across multiple business disciplines to ensure cohesive delivery.
• Complete required administrative tasks related to teaching assignments.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in teaching, coaching or mentoring at tertiary level.
• Strong enthusiasm for helping students progress in their learning journeys.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Motivation to fulfil administrative responsibilities associated with casual academic roles.
• Legal right to work in Australia and an Australian bank account.
