Clean Room Operator – Satellite Manufacturing

About the role

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a meticulous Clean Room Operator to join its manufacturing team in Gavà, Barcelona. The role supports the assembly, handling, inspection, and integration of electronic and mechanical components for advanced satellite communication systems in a controlled clean‑room environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, handle, inspect, and integrate electronic and mechanical components following clean‑room and ESD procedures.
• Execute manufacturing tasks according to work instructions, technical documentation, and production schedules.
• Perform visual inspections and basic quality checks to ensure compliance with company standards.
• Maintain accurate production and traceability records using tablets and digital systems.
• Handle sensitive components with extreme care and attention to detail.
• Support continuous‑improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and production team members.
• Keep workstations clean and organized according to 5S and clean‑room standards.
• Report non‑conformities, process deviations, or material issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum vocational training degree (CFGM) in Electronics, Electrical Systems, Electromechanics, or similar.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, assembly, electronics production, or clean‑room operations.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Good teamwork, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• Basic communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with tablets and digital production systems.
• Understanding of ESD‑controlled environments and clean‑room procedures.
• Familiarity with manufacturing documentation and traceability processes.
• Basic computer literacy.
