Clinical Researcher – Maternal Foetal Medicine

About the role

The Maternal‑Foetal Medicine Unit at Vall d'Hebron Hospital is launching a clinical trial for a new medical device aimed at improving embryo transfer success. We are looking for a qualified Obstetrics and Gynecology specialist to join the research team as a Clinical Researcher.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Principal Investigator throughout all trial phases, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice.
• Collect, anonymise, and pre‑process trial data in coordination with the IT‑VHIR Project Manager.
• Prepare technical and scientific documentation required for regulatory submissions.
• Identify eligible patients, perform device‑related procedures, and conduct follow‑up visits.
• Maintain the electronic trial notebook and ensure accurate source data recording.
• Coordinate consumable purchases and assist in scientific and financial justification of the project.

Required profile

• Medical degree with completed specialist training (MIR) in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Experience in assisted reproduction and clinical research.
• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and English.
• Specific training in assisted reproduction subspecialty and basic statistics.
• Desirable: publications or prior work in related fields.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) knowledge.
• Data management and electronic CRF handling.
• Basic statistical analysis.
• Assisted reproduction techniques (follicular puncture, embryo transfer, insemination).
• Use and maintenance of clinical trial electronic notebooks.
