Commodity Manager Airframe MRO

About the role

The Commodity Manager Airframe MRO will join Airbus Defence and Space’s Aircraft MRO Services Procurement team. You will be responsible for shaping the procurement strategy for airframe maintenance, repair and overhaul sub‑commodities, building relationships with global suppliers and ensuring value‑for‑money solutions for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sub‑commodity strategy, including market analysis, tendering, negotiations and long‑term contract establishment.
• Lead and coordinate Call for Tenders, evaluate supplier proposals and select the best solutions for stakeholders.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct financial and risk assessments, and oversee claim management.
• Drive compliance with export control, ethics, environmental and security regulations throughout the procurement process.
• Lead multi‑functional teams (MFT) comprising MRO Network, Services, Sales, Finance, Quality and Compliance to ensure successful delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Business Management or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years managing worldwide suppliers in procurement, engineering, services, MRO or project management.
• Proven experience in complex aerospace projects, preferably in the defence sector, with strong knowledge of aviation regulations and airworthiness requirements.
• Fluent in Spanish and English; additional French or German is a plus.
