Cook – Hotel Arts Barcelona

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join the culinary team at Hotel Arts Barcelona. You will work in a fast‑paced, high‑standard kitchen, preparing a variety of dishes while maintaining the quality and presentation expected by our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients – portion, chop, wash, peel, weigh, measure and mix according to recipes.
• Cook and plate hot and cold dishes, following quality, presentation and safety standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Test food for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure correct portioning.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Check and maintain proper temperature of appliances and food.
• Follow all company safety, security and hygiene policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant kitchen experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb, and reaching overhead.
