Cook's Helper (June)

About the role

Join the culinary team at W Barcelona as a Cook's Helper for the month of June. You will support the Chef and kitchen staff during busy periods, ensuring smooth service and high food quality.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate assistance needs to the Chef and notify the manager of any product issues.
• Check and record appliance and food temperatures.
• Monitor food quantities, portion sizes, and garnish presentation.
• Serve food in correct portions and onto appropriate receptacles.
• Set‑up, clean, and break down work stations; wash and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, storing, and washing/peeling fruits and vegetables.
• Prepare and cook food according to recipes and safety standards.
• Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies.
• Maintain a clean, professional uniform and uphold guest service standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience or certifications needed.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking.
• Knife handling and chopping.
• Temperature monitoring of appliances and food.
• Kitchen sanitation and equipment cleaning.
