Coordinador/a de Eventos

About the role

Barceló Hotel Group is looking for a passionate Event Coordinator to design and deliver memorable social and corporate events at its La Nucía property. The role involves planning, coordinating and executing events while upholding the brand’s high standards of hospitality and service.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate all logistical aspects of meetings, weddings, conferences, banquets and other events.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients before, during and after the event.
• Supervise on‑site execution to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collaborate with internal departments to guarantee smooth operations.
• Manage budgets, control costs and negotiate with external suppliers.
• Conduct site inspections with clients and prepare customized proposals.
• Proactively resolve any unexpected issues that arise.

Required profile

• Formal education in Tourism, Event Management, Hospitality or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in 4‑ or 5‑star hotels.
• Excellent communication, organization and attention‑to‑detail.
• High proficiency in Spanish and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office productivity tools.
• Experience using event management software.
