Country Director - Insurance & Investments

About the role

The Country Director leads country-level operations, develops business strategies and drives growth across insurance and investment services. The role focuses on increasing market share, improving financial performance, building strategic partnerships, overseeing operations and ensuring compliance with applicable financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute country-level strategies for growth, profitability and long-term objectives.
• Expand market presence, identify new opportunities and build partnerships with insurers, investors, banks, brokers and financial institutions.
• Oversee insurance product distribution, investment services, client portfolios and operational performance.
• Manage budgets, revenue forecasts, operating costs and financial performance to meet country targets.
• Drive customer acquisition, insurance premium growth, investment product sales and distribution-channel development.
• Ensure risk management and compliance with local insurance laws, investment regulations and financial reporting requirements.
• Maintain relationships with regulators, institutional investors, corporate clients and strategic partners.
• Lead and develop management teams across business development, sales, operations, insurance and investment functions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Insurance or a related field; MBA, master's degree or professional certifications preferred.
• Typically 10-15+ years of experience in insurance, investments, financial services or related fields, including senior leadership experience.
• Proven track record in country management, strategic planning, business development and financial performance management.
