Data Solution Architect

About the role

Roche PT is looking for a Business Digital & Data Solution Architect to standardize and optimize the digital and data infrastructure behind its pharmaceutical operations and data insights. You will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of complex digital and data architectures, turning business needs into scalable, secure and efficient solutions, in close collaboration with the informatics organization.

Key responsibilities

• Select data management technologies, tools and cloud platforms guided by the Roche Enterprise Architecture framework, and collaborate with IT and architecture teams
• Promote the data modeling methodology and drive the modeling of entities and relationships
• Design, develop and maintain data streaming architecture and processes for real-time data processing and analytics
• Improve existing systems, identify gaps and prioritize solutions with stakeholders, and monitor data infrastructure performance
• Map business requirements to technological solutions with use case teams, and recommend new solutions when needed
• Work with engineers to build data ingestion, enrichment and accessibility capabilities
• Create and maintain the Solution Architecture Documents required for the qualification of data products

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or a related field
• 5+ years in a leading role as a data solution architect
• Experience with large-scale enterprise data warehouses or lakes, data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake and enterprise cloud solutions
• Experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data architectures, and optimizing data pipelines for performance and scalability
• Knowledge of manufacturing (clinical or commercial), supply chain or regulatory experience is an advantage
