DevOps Manager – Hybrid (Madrid or Malaga)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of software developers and DevOps engineers responsible for building, improving, and operating critical internal applications and platforms. The role can be based in either Madrid or Malaga and follows a hybrid working model with two days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team across software development and DevOps.
• Own delivery, operational quality, and evolution of internal applications and services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into actionable delivery plans.
• Drive engineering best practices such as CI/CD, automation, observability, code quality, and reliability.
• Support architectural and technical decision‑making across platforms and applications.
• Balance delivery speed with scalability, maintainability and long‑term sustainability.
• Remove blockers, improve workflows and foster an environment where engineers thrive.
• Coach, mentor and support career development of team members.
• Promote a collaborative, accountable and outcome‑focused engineering culture.

Required profile

• Strong experience leading engineering, DevOps, platform or infrastructure teams.
• Solid technical background in modern software engineering and DevOps practices.
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release management and operational workflows.
• Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with Python, Django, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, GitLab and Nexus.
• Good knowledge of Linux, networking, cloud or private‑cloud environments.
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Pragmatic, solutions‑focused leadership style.
