Director of Game Economy

About the role

Socialpoint is looking for a seasoned Director of Game Economy to shape the financial health of multiple mobile titles from our Barcelona studio. You will act as a centralized expert, diagnosing economic performance, designing pricing and reward systems, and mentoring in‑game economy teams across the portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Lead economic strategy for several games, identifying gaps and implementing solutions to boost engagement and revenue.
• Recruit, train, and mentor dedicated in‑game economy teams, establishing structures for long‑term ownership.
• Develop predictive models, simulations, and A/B tests to validate design decisions and forecast feature impact.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Engineers globally to ensure seamless execution of economic initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proven track record of optimizing complex game economies at a senior level.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable design recommendations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with SQL.
• Knowledge of R or Python for data analysis and modeling.
