Director of Internal Audit

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Internal Audit to lead the planning, execution and oversight of audit activities across our multinational organization. Reporting to the Executive Director of Internal Audit and working closely with the Audit Commission, you will act as a strategic partner to improve operational efficiency and strengthen corporate governance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the internal audit team, ensuring high‑quality, consistent and compliant audit execution.
• Develop and implement the Annual Audit Plan using a risk‑based approach aligned with corporate priorities.
• Review and validate audit reports, ensuring clear findings and actionable recommendations.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls across headquarters and international affiliates and contribute to the Corporate Risk Map.
• Promote continuous improvement through data‑analytics techniques and innovative audit methodologies.
• Build strong relationships with compliance, legal, finance, people & culture, sustainability and information security functions to maintain a holistic view of risk.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies, and present audit findings to the Audit Commission.

Required profile

• University degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field; MBA or specialized master’s a plus.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) required; CPA, CISA or CRMA are advantageous.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in internal or external audit or risk consultancy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a multinational environment.
