Engineering Controller (Temporary)

About the role

A temporary position within the Engineering Controlling Team (TFAOE) in Getafe, where the jobholder plans, controls and steers the Engineering contribution to Airbus Derivatives (MRTT) projects. The role acts as a Business Partner of the Chief Engineering organisation, covering all financial aspects of a project from bidding to execution, together with EAC and day-to-day requests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage programme targets through the convergence process and cascade them to the right level of detail (organisation area, personnel hours/subcontractors/material).
• Ensure actual costs stay aligned with targets during execution and provide transparent, timely financial reports showing status versus targets and the different types of delta, especially those outside EAC scope.
• Analyse performance against budgets and targets, flagging risks and opportunities and helping define recovery measures.
• Support workload planning cycles, keeping them consistent with programme directives and assumptions and validating that workload is financially affordable.
• Improve the use of financial tools (CMA, SimpliFi, UP) and strengthen Business Partnering to the Chief Engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
• Previous experience in function or project/programme controlling.
• Experience in an engineering environment is an advantage.
• Spanish and English to negotiation level.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, especially Excel and Sheets.
• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking and proactive, independent working style.
• Knowledge of reporting tools and interest in IT and automation is a plus.
