Environment, Health & Safety Manager – Spain

About the role

Olleco Bunge is looking for an experienced Environment, Health and Safety (SHEQ) Manager to support its operations in Andalucía or the Basque Country. The role will ensure compliance with legislation, ISO standards, ISCC certification and drive continuous improvement across health, safety and environmental performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and execution of the Spain SHEQ strategy and chair the monthly SHEQ Board.
• Produce and analyse monthly SHEQ reports, highlighting trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Implement, maintain and improve SHEQ management systems to meet ISO, ISCC, legal and group requirements.
• Plan and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring timely closure of findings.
• Lead accident and near‑miss investigations with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Promote safe working practices, report hazards and drive a strong safety culture.
• Deliver SHEQ training at all levels and support group‑wide initiatives.
• Liaise with regulators, auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication.
• Lead safety improvement programmes and manage site SHE committees.

Required profile

• Organised, proactive and results‑focused with strong ownership of performance.
• Excellent communication skills, able to engage at all levels and challenge when necessary.
• Team player who can support wider SHEQ initiatives.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably at a senior level in waste or logistics.
