Equipment Test and Tools Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Equipment Test & Tools Engineer to design, develop and maintain advanced test solutions for automotive electronic systems. In this position you will enable engineering teams by delivering robust, automated test environments that replicate real‑world conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop test benches and hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) systems to emulate operating environments.
• Analyse requirements and translate them into scalable test solutions.
• Deploy, validate and maintain test setups and instrumentation.
• Develop automated test cases using tools such as CANoe, Python, CAPL or LabVIEW.
• Support system, hardware, software, DV/PV and EMC testing teams with reliable tooling.
• Perform root‑cause analysis and first‑level troubleshooting.
• Manage external suppliers for test equipment and setups.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as ISO 26262 and IATF.
• Continuously improve tools, processes and test efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong programming skills (Python, CAPL, LabVIEW or similar).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English communication.
