Fashion Designer (Women’s Wear) – Barcelona

About the role

Desigual is looking for a passionate Women’s Fashion Designer to join its Barcelona HQ. You will create and develop garments that reflect the brand’s DNA while meeting commercial and seasonal objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop women’s garments aligned with seasonal concepts, brand identity and market needs.
• Create mood boards, colour palettes, prints, graphics and technical sketches for each collection.
• Research trends, fabrics, materials and new techniques to ensure innovative product proposals.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Buying and Production teams to align designs with price positioning and business strategy.
• Oversee garment development from concept to final sample, ensuring quality and design integrity.
• Prepare technical documentation and support fittings as required.
• Monitor competitors and market trends to identify opportunities for product improvement.

Required profile

• Degree in Fashion Design or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in fashion design.
• Strong knowledge of fabrics, materials and garment construction techniques.
• Ability to interpret trends and translate them into commercially viable designs.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.
