Field Service Technician

About the role

Join ABB's Electrification Service Area in Villanueva de Gállego, Zaragoza, as a Field Service Technician. You will work under the Service Workshop Manager and daily direction of the Team Lead, repairing breakers and sub‑assemblies while ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality solutions for data‑center clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform workshop tasks including troubleshooting, repairs, assembly and testing of electrical equipment.
• Execute workshop orders following established processes to achieve first‑time‑right outcomes.
• Verify bill of materials, gather required parts and ensure all tools and equipment are available.
• Complete and maintain all required documentation for each service activity.
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose solutions and drive small‑scale process enhancements.
• Apply safety and environmental rules, reporting any unsafe practices or incidents.

Required profile

• Intermediate or higher vocational training in Electricity, Electronics, Electromechanics or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience as an electrical technician or in a similar role.
• Strong dedication, teamwork orientation and resilience.
• Basic written English for handling technical documentation.
• Valid driver’s license.

Required skills

• Electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• Mechanical assembly and testing.
• Use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office suite.
