Field Solutions Engineer – Simulation & AI Systems

About the role

Shield AI is looking for a Field Solutions Engineer to be based in Madrid and support technical sales and customer engagements across Europe. The role focuses on advanced simulation, synthetic environments, image generation systems and AI‑enabled mission systems for defence training, test and evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the customer‑facing technical expert for Shield AI and Aechelon simulation and AI‑enabled mission capabilities.
• Lead discovery sessions, technical briefings, demonstrations, RFIs, RFPs and proposal development.
• Translate mission needs, training objectives and CONOPs into credible solution concepts and demo scripts.
• Engage with European, NATO and allied defence simulation, training and test environments.
• Produce technical sales assets such as capability briefs, white papers, FAQs and customer‑specific briefing material.
• Maintain product truth by ensuring all customer‑facing communications reflect current capabilities, constraints and roadmap timing.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in modelling and simulation, training systems, test and evaluation, or related technical customer‑facing roles.
• Hands‑on experience with defence simulation, training or test environments supporting military or government customers.
• Proven ability to conduct technical briefings, proposal efforts and integration discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English.
• Willingness to travel throughout Europe and internationally.
