Finance Analyst - Systems & Automation

About the role

Monolithic Power Systems, Inc. (MPS), a fast-growing semiconductor company, is transforming its Finance function and is looking for a Finance Analyst in Barcelona, Spain, reporting to the Europe Controller. The role sits on the foundation team that designs, builds and implements systems and automated workflows across Finance, supporting FP&A activities with speed and efficiency. The primary focus is systems and automation, with FP&A support as a secondary focus.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and scale automated workflows and system integrations that reduce manual effort in close, reporting, forecasting and reconciliations
• Own the automation roadmap, identify high-friction manual processes, prototype solutions and drive them to production
• Build and maintain ETL pipelines, dashboards and analytics infrastructure from ingestion through analysis
• Serve as a center of excellence for core systems (e.g. Databricks, Power BI, ERP/IFS Cloud), giving technical guidance and troubleshooting support
• Evaluate and pilot emerging tools, including AI/LLM-based workflows, to further automate Finance operations
• Maintain system and process documentation and follow data governance standards
• Support monthly close and management reporting by automating the underlying reporting infrastructure, not doing manual variance analysis
• Partner with FP&A and Accounting to turn recurring manual analytical work into self-service systems, and coordinate with Accounting, IT and business units on requirements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance or another quantitative field
• 3-5 years of experience combining data/systems work with finance or accounting exposure
• A builder mindset: examples of independently designing, building or automating a tool, process or system will be required
• Self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach, able to define their own roadmap and drive projects from idea to production with minimal oversight
• Fluent in English, strong communication and influencing skills, and willingness to learn new tools quickly

Required skills

• Databricks and one or more data analysis/visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, Alteryx or SQL (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server), plus advanced Excel
• Data warehousing, database management and/or data modeling
• Familiarity with LLM/AI tools in workflows
• Experience with enterprise financial forecasting/EPM tools (Hyperion, OneStream, Anaplan, Planful) is a plus
