Finance Specialist - Accounting, Tax and Reporting

About the role

medmix, a global manufacturer of high-precision delivery devices, is looking for a Finance Specialist to manage the full accounting, tax compliance and financial reporting activities for its Spanish legal entity within an international manufacturing group. The role acts as a key finance partner, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, effective treasury management and continuous improvement of finance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Accounting and close: manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing, post entries such as depreciation, payroll, accruals, loan interest and FX adjustments, reconcile the balance sheet and general ledger, and review operating expenses, provisions and intercompany transactions.
• Tax and compliance: prepare indirect and direct tax filings on time, coordinate with external advisors and local authorities, and maintain compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
• Financial reporting and consolidation: prepare monthly reporting packages for group consolidation, reconcile local accounting data with group reporting tools, and support management reporting.
• Treasury and cash management: support cash management and liquidity planning, coordinate intercompany funding, cash pooling and netting, monitor FX transactions and hedging, and assist with banking partner relationships.
• Systems and process improvement: act as Key User for SAP Finance (FI/CO), support users, take part in finance transformation projects, and maintain finance process documentation.
• Audit and internal controls: support external and internal audits, ensure compliance with internal controls, review data integrity and contribute to risk mitigation and governance.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Several years of experience in accounting, financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Experience in an international or multinational environment.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• SAP FI/CO experience highly desirable; also SAP VIM and Tagetik.
• Advanced Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Analytical, organisational and communication skills.
