Fleet Transition Engineering Manager

About the role

Volotea is seeking a Fleet Transition Engineering Manager to lead the planning and execution of aircraft lease‑out and lease‑in projects. You will work in a multicultural environment, ensuring smooth transitions of aircraft into and out of the fleet while maintaining high safety and cost standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑of‑lease phase‑out and aircraft phase‑in projects for the airline.
• Define required modifications and maintenance actions for each transition.
• Plan and control all aspects of the process, including technical records review, maintenance requirements, cost estimation and liaison with Engineering, Planning, Logistics and other internal departments.
• Participate in on‑site activities during aircraft transitions and ensure delivery/re‑delivery conditions are met.
• Assist with aircraft induction into company systems and prepare related reports, checklists and status updates.
• Oversee subcontracted activities such as document audits and on‑site representatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft fleet transition, lease management or related aviation engineering projects.
• Strong project‑management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a high‑growth, multicultural environment.
• Ability to travel to on‑site locations as needed.
