Flight Test Ground Station Software Developer

About the role

A vacancy for a Flight Test Ground Station Software Developer has opened within Airbus Defence & Space. The successful candidate joins the Flight Test Ground Station Department, which provides the ground hardware and ground and onboard software needed for flight tests, as well as the IT systems and general software of the Test Center organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop software applications for the Flight Test Ground Station and test frameworks, and contribute to the industrialization of tools for the Test Center.
• Work in a multiplatform environment and build web-based software architectures, including cloud-based applications.
• Design the architecture and evolution of the software, and coordinate activities across countries and in building a new test data analysis framework.
• Coordinate with the Flight Test Means Integrator and the Test Center Integrator, and take part in development, product ownership and delivery to the final customer.
• Create a development framework that adapts software configuration to new equipment and requirements.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of professional experience in a similar position.
• Degree-level education in Engineering.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new software architectures, especially the move from desktop to on-premise cloud solutions.
• Integration with CI/CD environments.
• Fluent English.
• Ability to work in a multinational, multicultural team with negotiation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Agile software development and high-performance software in several languages.
• C++, Python.NET C# and Java are required.
• Use of AI to increase productivity.
• Knowledge of flight test management tools.
