Functional Analyst (French) – Financial Services

About the role

Winning Consulting is seeking a Functional Analyst with French language skills to support a financial services client in Barcelona. The position follows a hybrid model, allowing two days of remote work each week.

Key responsibilities

• Identify business needs and establish effective communication channels with internal stakeholders.
• Translate requirements into functional specifications such as user stories, use cases, process flows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Manage and maintain the product backlog, including refinement, prioritisation, and definition of Definition of Ready/Definition of Done.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, development, and QA teams.
• Prepare test plans and test cases, supporting the testing team during execution, UAT and functional validation.
• Write and maintain functional documentation (AS‑IS / TO‑BE) and share knowledge across teams.
• Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to align scope, dependencies and next steps.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst.
• Experience in the financial services sector is highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• French language proficiency at B2 level.
• Business analysis certifications are a plus.
